Can you see how deep we are

Can you see how deep we are

A Poem by Shelby Taylor

n this is what happens when I’m with them?

Can you see how deep we’re in?

They laugh with joy.

But it’s played of coy.

Never mind that fact of that.

Make the way you look an act.

Talk until you hearts content.

Lend the voice you use for rent.

Think about what occurred.

Your words starting to become more slurred.

Heed your eyes on what they watch.

Observe them open another bottle of Scotch.

Encore Encore!

Give them alittle bit more.

Take another drink, just to hit the floor.

It won’t give you any hint.

No use of self-judgment.

Intoxicate a kiss never meant.

Control uses are now all spent.

Stir to weaker intuition.

Hallucination comes to condition.

Give somebody the chance to use your shell.

You won’t remember all of it very well.

Lose yourself in an unconsciousness state.

Never knowing when you will awake.

Do this just to start over again.

Do you see how deep we’re?
