Rose Tear And RAin

Rose Tear And RAin

A Poem by Shelby Taylor

Roses, tears, and rain,
All to represent my pain.
To lose, and to not gain,
And to drive you utterly insane.

The roses, born full of life,
Die after feeling strife,
The blade of a knife,
Or the touch of a demon's wife.

Tears that I only wish not to feel,
To tell me that this isn't real,
To help me with the pain I deal,
And a curse upon me isn't to seal.

Rain that mimics my emotion,
The closest to a healing potion,
That's as soothing as the ocean,
And that has a simple motion.

Roses... Tears... And rain...
All to represent my pain...
