War in my mind

There's a war going on in my head

There's two parts of my soul talking to me at once

One side is saying "no one cares no one loves you"

The other side is saying "don't be stupid you know people love you"

But who do I truly believe?

My mind or my soul?

Because why would anyone love me?

There is nothing special about me

I'm just average

And immature

I don't see which side to chose

Which side my heart should pick

Because no one knows that there is a war

No one knows except me that I am stuck

I play a role like in a play

But is that really my soul?

Or is that just a character?

Because as far as the eye can tell

I am just me

There is no war

There is only peace…

If they only knew
