Hell On Earth

Hell On Earth

A Poem by Shelby

I don’t need a creator

Cause I’ve got hell on earth

I’ve been told I need God

To make life mean…

Something, but

When I go to

Sleep at night

I don’t see the light,

Prayer can’t make this right.

If God is dead

It’s fine with me

The difference is nothing

To those walking

In pain, faithless and free.

I will be responsible

For the life that is mine,

For when nothing is fine

There’s no toeing the line;

I know what I’m worth, so

I don’t need a creator

When I’ve got hell on earth.
