RSJLPMGH

A Poem by Shelby

Rash, recherché, remedy and rhapsody

Right away you know how

To make me laugh,

Smile so joyful

Hold a beat with a light

Flick, a quick tap

A quip I cannot match

And we are laughing too

Hard to breathe

Farcical drummer boy, my

Star so sempiternal and social.

Jocose, clever

How you know me

And our minds in sync

Could put anyone on edge

We laugh at everyone

Exclusively, you and me

But your front falls for me

Tenderness and insecurity

And I love you for your soft

Underbelly, your

Levity, lethal, lambent-like legerity.

Pretty, fair-faced

The pure, exquisite lines and planes

With a mind and heart

To complement

Together you and I

Are peas in a pod

Salt and pepper

The lyrics to my music

The only one

Who is more than friend

More than brother

Because we connect

With sparks and cavalier curtness

Spoken in absolute love

Your conceited whimsy

The light of my life

Merry masculine manipulator of me.

Gentle genial genius

The love of my life

Oh meek idol

How sweetly we touch

Your beautiful disaster

Is the mantra of my

Adoration

Humble rebellion of

Your social expectations

And quiet revolution I

Admire you, love

Halcyon and handsome

Haven and harbor of my heart

I love this. All of the elevated diction, contrasting with adn therefore emphasizing their simple love. I had to look up a lot of those words. :/
