RepressedA Poem by ShelbyA healthy curiosity In sex Stunted by one moment A moment never spoken Acknowledged or remembered But forever held Inside it happens again Over and over A veil held before it Hazy and blurred The mind can forget But the heart always knows And a person changed Forevermore holds in contempt Their heat and touch The stomach churns The wall drops And blissful ignorance Is there once more When will the veil fall The wall crumble The truth be bared? When will the mind be prepared To face honesty And understand how violation Moved a person to lie To her own mind and heart Torn and twisted inside, Ruined, damaged Trespassed upon In the heat of the appetite, Hurt, misused Silently abused And drowning in haunted Desecration. © 2011 ShelbyReviews
