Two unfinished poems

I started these but never finished them.

 The first:

 

And when you turn away from the light

And only the shadows have the pleasure of your company

Then I will appear

Darling will I disappear?

While you are a god to these godless creatures

And I am merely another apostle

Following in your angel's wake

Your angel's face.

 

 

The second:

 

Now here I am

Alone

As you walk your path of greatness

I let you go

Though you don't know

And as the sun shines down on you

I return to my house of cards

Once again

Hiding in the shadows

And hoping one day

We will find the time

To meet again.

But for now 'goodbye'

Is all I have

So goodbye

Is all I have to give.
