End of the Road

End of the Road

A Poem by Sheila Marie Carr

People die

Things decay

Life eludes us

Then betray

To find happines

Is very rare

No need to ponder

Or even care

Six feet under

Is where I'll be

End of the road

I cease to be

One more thing

I'd like to say

Farewell my friend

Prepare to lay
