Where Is My Love

Where Is My Love

A Poem by Sheila Marie Carr

My love where have you gone

Why did you leave me here all alone

I searched for you, behind every door

I looked for you, beneath the wood floors

I beg of you please, come back to me

So I can relax and begin to breathe

The pain is so heavy, and hard to bare

I thought that we made, the perfect pair

I'm always searching, both day and night

As I pray in my heart, God make this right

Lead him back to me, one last time

To confess my love, and soothe my mind

What can I do, to make you believe

That Iam the one, that you really need

I can't seem to find you, I've looked everywhere

Just know in your heart, I'll always be there

Oh, this poem was very emotion-filled. I could really feel the pain behind it, and imagine this person searching so desperately for the one they love, while they're eyes are filled with tears and their heart with sorrow...Woops, got a little poetic there. Hehe. I'll leave that to you. :) Great poem.
