Love Passes By

Love Passes By

A Poem by Sheila Marie Carr

We pass on the streets, we look eye to eye

While a moment in time, passes by

I suddenly realized, what we have done

A flicker of flame, has just begun

As I walk on by, I turn to stare

Only to see you, standing there

We didn't speak a word, our eyes told the truth

Of a love that was meant, for me and for you

You are from another, time and place

Your look is different, but with the same face

Your eyes never changed, from the beauty the hold

They are the window, to your soul
