Elusion of DeathA Poem by Sheila Marie Carr
Death why do you elude me so I'm suffering here with no place to go I wait for you to come my way To take me away from this evil place Into depths of deep dispair So far, so far, beyond repair Living here, is living a lie I'm tired of pretending, and want to die I'm ready to pay for what I reap I want the darkness of eternal sleep Lights out, stop the press All I do is stress, stress, stress Frustrating and tired, of you slipping away Death don't elude me, another day
