Stranger In The Mirror

Stranger In The Mirror

A Poem by Sheila Marie Carr
"

A poem about how we can sometimes lose ourselves, until we take a good look in the mirror and remember who we really are.

"

I look in the mirror, see a familiar face

The strange thing is, the image staring back,

Somehow I cannot place

Who is this stranger, the reflection that I see

Mimicking my movements, as though it was me

Vaguely and uncertain, I stare in the mirror

As my eyes become focus, the image becomes crearer

I've seen that face before, unfamiliar though it may seem

The image in the mirror, just happens to be me.
