I long for you
I grieve for you
I miss your touch
I need you so much
I see you each day
But we're worlds apart
I wish I could say
Please unbreak my heart
I often talk to you
But you refuse to hear
The words I speak to you
It's your silence what I fear
You're right hear with me
Yet you cannot see
The love I have for you
I hope you will receive
The ache in my soul
Will tarry till the end
Because I can't let go
Of my lover and my friend
Please come back to me
I'll be gentle as a dove
I cannot let this be
You are my perfect love
You see it's you I need
You're why I yet still live
My heart belongs to you
With all the love I give
Sheila, my heart broke, and tears formed, waiting to fall, as I read this poem, of yours. It beautifully expresses, when we give our heart to another, who won't or can't return it. Thank you, for posting this moving poem, for us, to share.

Your welcome, Sheila. My writing is, also an expression of my experiences.
Beautifully written, and the sentiment behind it is the heartbreak of love unreturned. The only thing I saw which interrupted the flow for me was:
It's your silence what I fear...Its your silence that I fear...
Great job!
