Echoing voicesA Poem by rhymeawayThis is for a friend who committed suicide.
Our voices echoed in the stairs,
where we laughed so heartily, giggling and snickering everywhere, people were ready to check us mentally. For they thought we were crazy, and we sure must have been, but then you took off so easily leaving behind your kith and kin. I will never blame you, I can only blame myself, how did I fail to help you, take those thoughts off the shelf. If only I had known, your laughter wasn't as free, reasons to live, I would've shown, to simply make you agree, But now, my voice echoes in the stairs, where I cry desperately, weeping and bellowing everywhere, people are ready to check me mentally.
