Dear Man

Dear Man

A Poem by L.G. Knight

Dear Man,

I seem to have lost my way.

I've let you lead me astray.

Dear Man,

I don't know when, how, or why.

I've become one to just sit and cry.

Dear Man,

Before I met you I had a plan

It was not to be the defeated woman.

Dear Man,

Why have I let you do this to me

For some scap of affection shamelesly begging

Dear Man,

Just tell me for certain where I went wrong

When we lost the chord on our love song

Dear Man,

I don't think I care anymore

Tired of falling at you feet on the floor

Dear Man,

I love you so much when will you start

To loosen the vise grip you have on my heart

Dear Man,

Quit playing around tell me what to do

Tell me you love me or say that we're through.

I like it. You might want to correct the spelling of one word: "scap" to "scrap."

For some scap of affection shamelesly begging

I really liked this, since your review I felt I just had to read something of yours and I can honestly say I wasn't disappointed! This is such an excellent write, it's so simple but it works really well.

The rhyme adds to the gentle simplicity and it's almost as if the writer is becoming more desperate as they continue to write letters, as if they aren't receiving a reply. Also the 'Dear Man' reminded me of a song I really like so this added to my enjoyment whilst reading this :)

I like it more because it's easy to identify with too.

'Dear Man,
Just tell me for certain where I went wrong
When we lost the chord on our love song.'

That is REALLY pretty ^_^
