One Look At YouA Poem by L.G. KnightFor one look at you I would swim the 7 seas, For one glimpse I would vacate all of me,
Leave my body soulless and bare,
For my soul to be with you everywhere,
I do not say this idly,
For I do not feel this mildly,
But for one look at you,
There is nothing I wouldn’t do.
For one look at you I would walk a million highways,
For one glimpse would send my heart to clog the skyways,
I have no reservations on these feelings that I feel
There is no hesitation to say that they are real.
I do not say this idly,
For I do not feel this mildly,
But for one look at you,
There is nothing I wouldn’t do.
I'll sit on the sidelines and watch your life go by,
I'll waste my own away for a little treat for the eyes,
And one day you may notice me always hanging round,
Come by and say hello help my courage to be found.
But for now I will sit idly,
Still not feeling this mildly,
But for one look at you,
There is nothing I won’t do.
