Wild Texas RoseA Poem by L.G. KnightYou may think I’m beatiful But watch out for the thorns I may seem like an angel But look and you’ll see horns
My colors are exotic But really I’m very Plain And though I seem normal A part of me’s insane
A rose still trying to bloom And already a bit wilted A very pretty picutre hung Just a little bit tilted
A contradiction in terms You never know what you’ll get A very demanding heart that Dosen’t know what they want yet
And though it may seem to you I’ve got it all figured out My mind remains everyday In a constant state of doubt
Good and bad I’ve been called Every name in the book What you see of me isn’t everything You’ll need a closer look
And maybe a few decades To really get to know me Even then you probably won’t get it all But you can try and see
There is a saying that describes me well If I can remember how it goes... Ah yes now I remember I’m a "Wild Texas Rose" © 2008 L.G. KnightAuthor's Note
