Anna RoseA Poem by L.G. KnightA solitary figure Against black night Standing so alone In stark bright white
A night gown flowing Around her bare feet Standing on that cliff Off which she once leaped
Searching for the love She left behind that night She decided he wasn't good enough To balance the bad in her life
Wanting to appologize Express her deep sorrow Her wish for a chance to take it back Or for one more night to borrow
To tell her dearly beloved How much she truly cared How much she truly wished She could have been there
The night that he decided Her death was just too much And from the same spot as she Took his final plunge
She waits now eternally For him to come to her So she can finally tell him How much he had to live for
Trapped forever in that moment When her lover prepared to take flight Eternally lost in anguish She cannot save his life
A solitary figure To me she has never spoke But something in her face Fixed in me what was broke
That time that I came out here Thinking to finally free myself From this torture some call living But I knew only as hell
Just one single look Into her beautiful sad eyes And I found myself a purpose To continue living life
I had to find out who she was I simply HAD to know The story behind this woman I now know as Anna Rose
I wonder does she have this effect On everyone she meets And how many lives did she save Before she saved me
These are things I'll never know Though I sit here every night Watching as Anna Rose Fights for her Lovers Life © 2008 L.G. KnightAuthor's Note
