New Found Determination

When I see him again where will I be?

Will I have my dreams, my fantasies?

Will I be rich and successful?

Will I finally know what would make my life full?

Will he wonder where that young girl went?

Will I have a love that was meant?

Will life go on until then?

Until I see his face again?

 

I think it will and who knows,

Before I see him I may grow.

I may learn and I may love,

I may go beyond and above,

Any thing he expects of me,

Oh and won’t that be sweet.

 

I may become what he said I would,

But I doubt that, I doubt I could.

I will not fail like he says I will,

I will not give up or just stand still.

I will go on and I will find,

I will learn and earn what’s mine.

I won’t give up, I won’t give in,

I will go right now and begin.

 

So listen close and listen now.

For these things I do vow.

Of all the things he took from me,

I will not let my own pride be,

Among the list and so I say,

I will go and seize the day.

 

With a new found determination,

I will find my place and station,

I won’t give up, no I won’t quit.

I will not let his words fit.

I’ll go do what’s right for me.

What is that? Well we’ll see.

This poem has a lot of potential. The flow is nice in moments, but try reading the piece out loud to yourself to help yourself correct grammar, word use, and punctuation mistakes.
