Life & Death MomentA Poem by L.G. KnightShe couldn't believe What she heard This kind of pain It was not worth
The tears streamed Freely down her face As she examined The results of her disgrace
He'd told her, soft whispers, Through lying lips That there was not Any chance of this
Yet it now stared her Straight in the face Four little letters She'd never be the same
Why didn't she check? Ask him for proof Now he was distant Cool and aloof
She thought she'd loved him On that one special night Now she'd pay for it The rest of her life
She'd never have kids A husband or home When it finally took her She'd die alone
Four little letters Would take her to her grave She shouldn't have trusted He didn't have A.I.D.S…. © 2008 L.G. Knight |
