"Did you see her?
What gives her the right,
To walk around in that?
Look at her size!"
She looks at you
You turn away
Sure you'll say something
But not to her face
"Yes, he said that,
I swear it's true,
I would never...
Would you?"
He looks at you
You turn away
Sure you'll judge him
But not to his face
"Look at that hair
It's like a bad dream
So stuck in the 80's
Makes me want to scream."
They look at you
You turn away
Sure you'll ridicule
But not to their face
"Listen to them judge
Like their so perfect and right
I'd say something
But it'd probably start a fight"
You look at them
They stare right back at you
At the slightest provocation
They'll spew the truth.
Whispers aren't a shield
To block what you say
They don't cover it up
Or pretty it in any way
Your words still have an impact
On those you're around
They can bring a smile
Or more often a frown
So take all your judgments
And leave them in your head
Keep in mind most tragedies started
With words best left unsaid
Columbine started
Way back in elementary
When children who were different
Began to be teased
Judgments are the start
Of most every war
Tell me what do we
Keep them for?
It is not our place
To say who's wrong or right
To give up freedom of expression
Is to give up the good fight
So take all your Judgments
And leave them in your head
Don't be the speaker
Of words best left unsaid.
