Yesterday

Yesterday

A Poem by L.G. Knight

Never let yesterday
Sneak into today
Never let your joy
become sorrow

Never let yesterday
Sneak into today
Or it will work itself
Into tomorrow

Yesterday is gone
Today its here
The past is not
For the now

So before you let yesterday
Into today
Make this your
Solemn Vow

To make each day
A fresh new start
And never pass the time

Thinking of yesterday
And all the mistakes
That with the sunrise
Should be left Behind.

Frances L. Phillips,

Creative.

This reminded me of a Psalms Chapter and a Proverb, mulched together into a modern lesson in life we all have to painfully learn daily.

So before you let yesterday... that line was an obvious warning as well it makes the reader STOP dead in their tracks and ponder upon their own story.

Great job, nice rhyme well put together.

Thank you for sharing,
