American Streets

 

There's a war being waged feel the heat...

 

Its not far away it’s right on your street....

 

 

Sex and drugs, theft and violence,

 

Bullets fly, addicts die in silence...

 

 

The soldiers busily fighting this war,

 

Falling in the line more and more,

 

 

Don't dare to walk down the streets of this land,

 

Unless you know how to use the gun in your hand,

 

 

Unless you’re willing to do whatever it takes,

 

Unless you’re strong, courageous, fearless, and brave.

 

 

Don’t go out after dark if you’re all alone....

 

Wolves in disguise hide wherever you roam...

 

 

And even now; no one is safe from persecution...

 

Menaces back on the street after failed prosecution....

Fabulous flow throughout, which I so enjoyed although I'm not a writer that has to have flow to make it read well ........but this is a great piece with a strong message of the affects of crime, drugs and fighting, that Amercian streets are in chaos and reminds me of the street crime rapidly rising in London with teenagers.

Some of your lines/ rhymes are a bit cramped with a bit more editing it could flo a bit better, do you have a beat/ music to go with this?? could be interesting.. got some attitude, overall: interesting :)
