Heaven and Hell

Heaven and Hell

A Poem by L.G. Knight

I see heaven with pearly gates,
Crystal water,
Emerald grass,
A diamond for a sun,
Shining so bright,
Glinting off of a throne of gold

A rich mans paradise…

I see hell with engulfing flames
Rising high in the night
Coal stalagmites
Spearing up from the ground
Lava burning orange and red
In pits of torture

The poor mans wallow…

I see earth with emerald grass on fire,
Diamonds made from coal,
Lava that can melt gold,
Stopped only by the crystal clear waters
In which we find pearls.

A sanctuary to all…
A haven to none…
A meeting ground…
A Heaven and Hell…

Huh, that was a pretty good poem! I love the beautiful imagery that you displayed throughout the entire work. It was really cool how you added more to the stereotypical descriptions of Heaven and Hell, and the description of Earth was very entertaining. ^^ Nice job.
