we build that gravestone with each fall---psychological, emotional, mental...each blow gets us closer....
and sometimes we love the feel of that stone..its smoothness, its sharpness..maybe because our lives have lost theirs.

This makes every stone unique on to itself, we dance with death everyday and build our graves along the way. Thank you for the in-depth review.

This is poetry. Real words with great meaning. I liked the old saying. Born from the earth and we will return to her. Your words hard, cold and true . Thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry.

I am however a huge fan of Pink Floyd amazing stuff.
I believe I am mostly influenced by everyday life and I am naturally dark about it. Is that what you were getting to by asking?

Just a base line so as to better understand your writing. Pink Floyd and Tool aren't that different...well, they are but they share the same fundamentals - good lyrics, good musicians behind the front man going off on long and awesome instrumental breaks (not so culturally groundbreaking though... (roger waters truly was unique, there music was singular in a very tumultuous and change orientated period). How do you feel about a now defunct band called The Postal Service? Also, as an aside, I am curious as to your feelings on Lynard Skynyrd and Jethro Tull. I like music.

As far as quality some of their songs such as "call me the breeze" absolutely great song and if you listen there is extra rhytmn guitar in the mix it stands out from their usual. Jethro tull I have seen in concert he is a strange one he is kind of a studio man "aqua lung" not so good in person. Pink floyd "animals" my favorite I dont know alot about music but I love to listen this album shows their talent for beautifully laid out music to obscure points. I am a huge Metallica fan as well I stood in line at the record store in 1984 for a copy of "ride the lightning" " Fade to black " what a great excibition of their talent. On the otherside of things I listen to classical music. I cant stand mainstream top forty wrap country dribble. Its either heavy metal or classical.

I intimately identify with pretty much everything you just said.
made me think of the song, "bad to the bone" by george thorogood & the delaware destroyers. no one ever said it was easy, which is why we must be prepared to fight the good fight every day, leaning on faith. reality and truth can hurt and sink us but only if we let it. many great lines penned with depth. not a lot of hope in this as it ends in the grave. catchy, telling words and pics that get to the heart of the matter, cutting and chilling "to the bone" ...
