THE CHRISTMAS SKYA Poem by TerryDarcy-Ryan akaSheerTerror" cascades of winter shimmer in star shaped tinsel colors "people shuffle by in a hustle to a flow sidewalk dancers skip in a beat for show a melody pulls at reminisce for your tender know blue Christmas crooners posted near store corners lines of shoppers move to the pace of jolly bell ringers new scatters of snow touch the city with wonder cascades of winter shimmer in star shaped tinsel colors a card of season greetings forgotten in a throw rustles beat in folded wrong and sways to the winds tow the slum strays hang back armed for harm to avoid a myths repose a bleak hub holds a cluster of people empty and seeking one last devotion the outskirts are an invitation to premeditation in dark framed windows watcher’s and stalker’s work in a shadow's lurid dimension seasonal carolers are silenced in tune with the rising of a crimson moon slow creeping deep a scarlet wake envelopes all the boroughs in it’s umber we come to the very edge of a ledge high above the red cast landscapes right below the unaware are parked for two in a row for sparks of passion the overlook view enables us to see the lights of a city dim to a red gloom giving in to the bird's eye view we scout the horizon stars have formed the countless gold fire’s blazing across the skyline cold alone and side by side we follow the bewilderment as we watched the fall of the moon
