The PardonA Poem by TerryDarcy-Ryan akaSheerTerror" the sick wounded wonder you weave "everyday I am closer to your pain any moment I will still remain moving towards the door a coward enters searching for cover shadows mock a smiles glow the sun leaves unmoved and slow Obscurity takes a turn Reaching for the bag I can't let go It’s empty now of all things us I've looked inside a hundred times to hear my own whispers no more falling stars To show off a sweet kiss no more innocent wishes shiny things a miss no more rainy days of bliss drops strike so close I close my eyes the sound takes hold playing the senses so the touch so soft in mist these open eyes catch another fallout simple puddles on the floor windows holding fear failures framed in shattered glass now all that I am resents the jagged gems wounded wonder you left me a claim of my own my will and still I look in the bag again the bottom of a black bag that is my disgrace deep inside tangled in retreat a dangerous place perched becomes and still is the sharpest part of a sword the furthest severe grab of a razor’s edge Cutting deep and clean Deeper with the deepest of intent a crack in the silence to extreme where I find even I betray me weighing precision with each decision alone in the heat a single moment the heart beating mean fueled on love and regrets pushing back harder until my very essence surrenders careless in the stillness of defeat refusing the landslide to compete cutting sweet and repeat counting every real moment never willing a sum decision blinds the lead turns your head unravel with reason hope holds for something different another lie the indignant deny a chore to want and matter time stands by to abide holding forgiveness and a pardon allowing me to leave Terry D’Arcy-Ryan © 2018 TerryDarcy-Ryan akaSheerTerrorReviews
