ResistanceA Poem by Leanne MarieStuck between a time of darkness and rejuvenation, I'd decided to find myself.
I'm tossing and turning,
my soul keeps on burning, the fire builds within me. My flesh twitches with a craving to take this blade and dig... to open old wounds and bleed out my pain, to darken red stains, your loss is my gain... But then I picture your face, all my fears are erased. In the dark the blade keeps calling my name... but I'll gather my strength and run the other way, I search desperatley for your embrace to dry my tears from my face... I can't do this alone you're here... and there's no more fear, the callings fall silently on my ears. Flames turn to flickers, Temptation fades away, Relief runs through me, Happiness here to stay. © 2010 Leanne MarieAuthor's Note
