Lips as black as a ravens feather
Eyes as cold as the winters weather Hair as smooth as midnight's mist Heart as passionate as a lovers kiss Mind as complicated as an abstract piece And her soul empties as we decease She lies beneath the radiant surface Hidden between the sun scorched lilies And obscured by the calm winds ripples Scarce and fleeting on the ocean floor Yet she soars above the clouds Gazing through the eyes of a elegant bird Feathers ruffled, wings spread wide A brown speck on the vast blue sky But too soon she becomes A flightless bird in a branchless tree Plummeting to the dew spattered ground Landing softly, turning to ash Running with nimble legs and a chin held high She dances along the rivers shore Spinning in circles and stirring the air Tapping her feet, disturbing the sand Rain drops fall to the earth And to she careens through the sky A jewel so stunning, so brilliant Shattering to pieces in the slightest moment She is the thoughts we think She is the breath we breathe She is the song we sing She is the heart And we are the soul
