SuffocateA Poem by SheActsLikeSummerIt grabs me, hands tightening around my neck...It grabs me Hands tightening Around my neck Clasping my throat Can't breathe Gasp for air Try to claw them away Reaching up Grabbing for the hands But to no avail It's too strong Can't hold it off Pressure heightens Nails pierce skin Drawing blood A river of red Gushes Drips down my neck My vision wavers Loosing my grip On reality One last effort I fling up my arms But I'm unsteady, weak So I give up Let the darkness Blur my vision Close my eyes Clench my jar Hold back the tears
