Hope

Hope

A Poem by SheActsLikeSummer

A puzzle that will never be solved
A key that will never be found
A bird that will never fly
A wave that will never crash

The grass would never grow
The pen would never write
The fire would never blaze
The clock would never tick

Flowers wouldn't bloom in the spring
Heat wouldn't overwhelm the summer
Leaves wouldn't fall in the autumn
and Snow wouldn't rule the winter

The sun would never rise
The heart would never love
Darkness would always loom
like the shadows of your greatest fears.

So it's a good thing
we have
Hope.
