I'm overwhelmed by the hands.
Taken aback by the smells. Engulfed by the sounds. Hands held out to shake. Smells of a working kitchen. Sounds; children's voices. Up the old rickety stair case. Down a tight narrow hall way. And into what's now my bedroom. Calloused hands let go of suitcase. Tired eyes to a welcoming bed. Yawn slowly escapes my throat. Fully clothed above sheets I lay. Catching my long held breath I sigh. Rubbing my tired eyes closed I sleep.
