JudgementA Poem by Sheila CrentsilA pleasant glimpse into understanding what judgement of others' can do to oneself
We're one and the same
You and me, As different as the brightest sunny day, Or the darkest stormy night; born of the same source, yet so intrinsically different. We are the same at our core, where it really counts. Our different perspectives are no match for the habits our culture instilled in us. Neither are the minuscule similarities or the vast differences we share For they make us who we are So I will pass no judgement on who you came to be As I hope some day you see and try to do the same for me. We're both struggling to carry the weight of a heavy world cast on young brittle bones. Somehow we are not yet broken; Not completely beaten down by the injustices we've faced in this cold world. One we've brazenly walked through without our warmest winter coats to protect us. We're in this never-ending battle of disentangling ourselves from life's persistently thorny vines. Judgement has no place to sleep in this car on the road to self-discovery. © 2016 Sheila CrentsilFeatured Review
