FacadeA Poem by She-Ra
You hide behind you’re patchwork of a thousand ways to shut me out
You’re quick witted, quirky stances just make me want to shout
What is it about me that you fear
You keep your iron clad fort shut, grilled, barred, locked
As for the key, there is no key. Only myth of such rarity
The sands of time chose to keep hidden
You’re reality a mere façade of decaying infatuation
Feeling restless, all the while tied up, feet, hands, bound
All around, suffocating, chest palpitating, blood rushing to my head
I part my lips and look away
I see you staring across the bay.
