Spite

Spite

A Stage Play by She-Ra

The soles of my feet blistered and bruised,
I walked on broken glass with no shoes on
My hands scared and weak,
I held on a ledge for too long
All I ever wanted was someone to catch me
When the time came to let go
My once tender heart, now tougher
Broken one to many times and dismembered
Reminiscing how I suffered
I still remember the night I let time slip me by
I was dreaming under a blanket of bitter lies
The harsh taste of reality
Still lingers in my mouth
Spit it out
My spirit never tires
That night home
I was walking on fire
Recollecting instances
Are no longer required
