The Dancing ColoursA Poem by Shayne WinchesterA peom written for entry in the contest 'For the Seasons' by Therene. :)All around, the trees are laced with hues of yellows and oranges Livid red leaves catch my eyes more than others The occaisional serene, malachite colour standing out among the more radiant The autumnal rainbow that comes every year
The air is sweet, with the scent of new grass and blooming flowers Warm nights, and pleasant days I relish the warm touch of the sun against my skin My heart touched by the springfelt nature
An alabaster wonderland encompassing my line of sight The ground and trees laced with snow And light, that glimmers through the frosted tree branches In a humble display of winteresque ambiance
Finally, after being deprived of the sun's warmth The air is sweet once more, and I shed my thick coat I inhale the stunning sights around me And delve into the summery heaven © 2011 Shayne WinchesterAuthor's Note
