The Journey Of Ryze: story 2

The Journey Of Ryze: story 2

A Story by Shay

“We have been walking for hours.” I complained.

My name is Ryze Smith. I’m an orphan running away from my adoptive parents’ home. They beat me and make me do everything they don’t which is technically everything.

“Yeah I know. We can stop soon. Let’s find somewhere to stay” Howie said.

“How about a hotel?” I asked.

“Okay, there is one a few blocks up on the next road.” Howie suggested.

We walked together holding hands. At last we found the hotel. It was called Michelle Hotel. We walked in.

“Hello my name is Michelle. May I help you?” the owner/clerk asked.

“We need two rooms, please.” Howie answered.

“One for me and one for her.” He added.

“Okay do you want the rooms close or doesn’t matter?” she asked politely.

“Yes, please. Next to each other would be fine.” I said.

“Names?” Michelle asked.

“Ryain and Rizz.” Howie said without hesitation.

“Okay cash or credit?” she asked.

“Cash.” Howie answered.

“Rooms 26 and 27.” Michelle confirmed.

“Thank you.” Howie said.

We traded the money and keys.

“If you need anything we have a telephone room service guide book. Also you can come here.” Michelle said.

“Okay thank you.” I said.

“No problem I am glad to be of service.” Michelle said.

Just as we were walking away the phone on the front desk rang.

“Michelle Hotel. Can I help you?” she asked.

Their was a moment of silence.

“Ryain and Rizz come here.” Michelle yelled.

We walked back over. I gave Howie a worried expression. He returned it by putting his arm around me. I felt safe.

“Do you two know a Ryze Smith?” she asked.

“No.” Howie said.

I just shook my head no just incase the other person could hear me through the phone. Also Michelle might notice my voice cracking and be suspicious.

“Okay thanks.” Michelle said.

We walked to our rooms. Both of us walked into mine. As soon as we locked the door I freaked.

“Do you think they know?” I asked.

“No, calm down. Relax you and I are going to stay here for the night. We even have part of the morning.” Howie answered.

“Okay.” I said.

There was another moment of silence.

“Do you like your name?” he asked.

We laughed.

“I love my name.” I answered laughing.

“Good because you’re going to have to keep it as long as we are running from my dad and your adoptive parents.” Howie exclaimed.

“How about you?” I asked.

“Yes, I love your name.” Howie answered.

“No yours but thank you.” I said.

“Your welcome.” Howie said.

“What do you want to do?” he asked.

“I do not know. You?” I asked.

“That’s why I asked you.” Howie answered laughing.

“Do you think we could get a job?” I asked.

“Yeah. One we can quit at any time.” He said.

“Okay where?” I asked.

“Here in town. Not too far.” Howie answered.

“We should work together.” I declared.

“I’d be too distracted staring at you.” He said.

“Me too, well looking at you not me.” I said.

Howie took my hand. I moved closer to him. At the same time we moved closer inches towards each other. Our faces were almost touching. I felt our lips touch. I opened my mouth and felt his tongue brush against mine. I want to always feel this sensation. We drifted apart as the kiss broke but with the flame still burning. Oh, was the flame burning! I want to kiss him again or him kiss me. Either way I loved it. He smiled and I smiled too. My whole world turned happy. I felt as if I was floating. I almost forgot about us running away. ALMOST! I must of frowned or something. He looked concerned and held me.

“What’s wrong?” Howie asked.

“I’m scared.” I admitted.

“Because of someone asking for you at this very hotel. It is going to be fine. I’m just across the hall. No worries.” He said.

“I know but…” I started.

“But you don’t want to be in here alone.” Howie finished for me.

I nodded my head yes.

“Why?” he asked.

“If they take me away you will be in there and I don’t know. I just feel that way. It is so hard to explain.” I say.

“Oh after tonight I will move in here. Okay? Remember we have to get the room again too.” He explained.

“Okay.” I said.

I hugged him.

“Good thing there is two beds because I don’t feel like sleeping on the floor.” Howie said.

“But then again the concrete ground in that alley was a lot worse.” He added.

“I believe you.” I said.

“Is this comfortable for you too?” I asked.

Then I kissed him. More fire.

“Yes very, very comfortable.” Howie said.

“Better be.” I said.

He kissed me back.

“First thing tomorrow we are getting jobs.” Howie declared.

“After breakfast.” I said.

“Agreed.” He said.

He went to his own room and I was lonely. Hopefully the morning comes quick. I was staring up at the ceiling. A little while later I fell asleep.
