Chapter OneA Chapter by ShawnicePateThe letter of a courageous mother.I wanted to write too much in my letter to them, my children. Rika, Koji and Takeo. A letter written to be read by them in my absence. I am Shiri Hatcher and I must get out of retirement from this catrosphe before its too late. I sigh deeply, breaths coming out from my lips. Writing down words unspoken to my children so it must be shown. When they get to this ink-written letter. This is for them. Dear, Hatcher Family, I am leaving behind something most important. Do not be careless! This is a weapon named the Time Odyssey Staff. Someone wanted me to hold it for a tragedy time. I fear this time is now. Your father haven't been around in my decision to see what is going on. I need to see for myself on what is causing this conflict. They call it the Tear Crisis--I hear a woman is behind the matter. To tear into the Kyoto, Japan to invade our location. Be kind to your brothers, Rika. I will leave the staff to you. Koji take your father's weapon. I don't know when he will return. So have it as a heirloom. Takeo, stay out of trouble. For you may never know when you will need each other. Stay next to each other. Love, Your Mother It was finally done. I hope they get to read this. Folding the white letter into a nearby envelope, I placed the paper inside. The pearl white envelope slipped on the brown table. The polished surface reflective to it's shine. Dropping the pen on the wooden object, I stood up from my bed's sheets. Dressed in white and red, my red sash held the weapon I refuse to let them see. The sword named Wakizashi. I had to pick it up again on my out. As I close the door to my home, I walked to the outskirts of Floria, Japan. Leaving behind the flowery village. * * * * * On my way to Kyoto, the skies stirred in blue and peach colors. Filled by cloudy texture. The breeze swayed my light brown hair from my eyes. It was a green mess of flowers, plants and the earth before me. Among the clearing I see a light skinned woman having the darkest of hair with green eyes. Specifically, the color of emeralds. Evernea. Evernea looked at me, implying I am unwanted. Indirectly hinting this is her territory. I care to disagree. She speaks to me, having the voice of a dark witch. Vocals tones prying into the depths of a dryily hot abyss. "It's the start of your end. I can smell that fool's magic pole off of you. Where is it? The time staff?" She trusted me to watch out for someone. A sigh left my lips. It has to be a woman so hungry for power, it makes me look like an amatuer. I know I had to do something about this. "This is only the beginning. I went out of retirement for this? You're too much of a hot mess. My fear doesn't lie in that staff. But what trouble you may bring to this land." It haven't been a day and I meet another ninja. Evernea thinks to herself. This girl is a problem. She don't seem surprise at my serious expression. I feel to step forward regardless of her, directly reading me. If she can read my thoughts, there will be trouble to pay. "It would be wrong if you didn't catch my name." Evernea felt no remorse, wanting recognition before things get too dirty. A mess? She predicted her future. "It's Evernea."
