Cant find the words

Cant find the words

A Poem by Bob Dobbs

Classism is the new disease
I grew up with you
but were programmed to hate each other in a certain way
I know this has been said and its drab boring
lets make it complete
I grew up with killers, drugs, fiends, low bottom
I dont know whats it like to be black
I couldnt, I never walked in another mans shoes
I diddnt choose to be flung into life with these experiences
Like Freire said, oppression is unconscious
born into it, breed
My skin makes me that
I cant sum up race relations here with clever rhymes
Im just a vistor and I perceive that we have many similar enemy's
I hope we dont continue to be each others
