The Memory of Reign

Ring Ring Riiinnnggg!!!

What? Oh it's Reign. I picked up the phone.

"Hey Fruit Loop hows it going?!"

"Why do you guys always call me that?!" Reign said into the phone laughing.

"I don't know..... But whats up?!"

"I wanted to know if you wanted to hang Lillys already here! YEAH I AM!!!! LILLY SHUT UP...... Owsss Fruit Loop you don't have to be so mean...... So you coming?!"

"Haha Yeah I am. I'll be there in about 15"

"Okay!"

"See you soon"

"Love ya!"

"Love you too"

"Bye Bye"

"Haha Bye" I went to my closet and put on some random clothes. Then I grabbed my bag "Mom I'll be back soon!!"

"Alright sweety love-" She got cut off as I ran out the door. Only 13 years old and not a single care in the world. I walked up to the front door and started knocking.

"Fruit Loop open up!!" 

"Yo Alice come on in" Reign said happily.

"Heys Al" Lilly said

"So where are we going 1st I brought money"

"umm..... How about a movie?!" Lilly Suggested

"I'm okay with that" Reign said

"Alright lets go!" I yelled then we all set off to the movie theater. It wasn't very crowded for a Saturday. In fact no one was in the same room as us I guess no one wanted to see that movie. The whole time we were running around and goofing off. It was the best/worst day of our lives.

"Awesome movie!" Reign yelled. Her smile always lightened up my day.

"Hey lets go get ice cream!" I yelled

"Okay!" Lilly screamed. Then we bolted out of the movie theater almost knocking someone over. "SORRY!" Eventually we made it to the ice cream place. "Sooo What do we get?"

"How about we get a banana split and split it?" Reign asked

"I'm fine with that!" I said

"Mmkay" Lilly said. After we finished eating we started heading into the forest behind the ice cream place. "What are we doing in here?"

"You'll see" Reign said. She kept walking but soon we came to a spot which seemed the middle of the forest where no one would find us.

"What are we doing here??" I asked

"I'm sorry..." Reign said with a look of guilt. Her grey eyes formed a tear as it started to rain.

"What?" Lilly gave a confused look.

"I love you guys but I have to do this"

"Reign don't say that your scaring me" I said.

"This was the best day of my life. Your'e the best friends I could ever have" She stumbled a bit as she started crying harder "You changed my life i'll always remember you" She slowly pulled out a gun and raised it to her head "I'm sorry..."

"NO DON'T" Lilly screamed. I ran to Reign and tried blocking it but it was too late. The bullet shot through my hand and into Reign. blood splattered all over my face as I looked at her laying lifelessly on the forest floor.

Re-Reign....

"CALL 911!!!" Lilly screamed again but I couldn't move I was so shocked at what had happened. Why'd She do it. Where did I fail her? Why couldn't I stop her? Why did this have to happen!!! A few moments later blue lights and sirens filled the air and they dragged Reign into an ambulance.. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'M SORRYYY!!!!!" Lilly screamed. she was clearly hurt and was was starting to cry harder

"It's alright Lilly" I pulled her into a hug as it started to rain harder. she buried her head into my shoulder.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry"

"Its not our fault" Lilly started crying harder and she pulled out of the hug and looked up at the sky.

"She always said she wanted to die in the rain at least she got what she wanted" 

"Umm Lilly, Alice" I spun around

"Yeah?" I asked

"There were notes in Reign's pocket for you" A cop said handing them to us

"Thanks" I said smiling through my tears. I opened mine up and out dropped her most prized possession. Her Hawk Necklace. I Picked it up from the ground and put it on. Then I unfolded the note which had said:

Dear Alice,

I know Your'e Probably really confused right now. Because if your'e reading this I'm most likely dead and killed myself. Well I had too. I was going to be moving and couldn't leave you. My dad was abusing me. I was getting made fun of and there was no where to turn except death i'm sorry you saw me like that. I know you were always there for me, but i bet i'm happier now if theres an after life. I swear i'll always love, need, miss and remember you. I swore to protect you and this is me protecting you. It may not seem like it now but it will later. Thanks for the memories. I won't forget you or them. I'll be watching over you and makes sure no one hurts you I love you. Thank you for everything... I could say so much more but theres no words to say it.

Oh wow. This chapter went quick, had many punctuation and grammar mistakes, and sometimes i was just lost. it would have been so much better if it had been proofread. But it was still an interesting concept. So this was a flashback? Maybe that should have been mentioned. And I thought Reign was a boy until the end >.>
I thought the death was rather rushed too. I would have liked to see more details.
