Everything

My words mean nothing to her

She throws them in the trash

Her voice overpowers mine

as she drags me into another one of her fights

over her own problems

everything gets blamed on 

someone else

other than herself

all this over 

a "Please be quiet!"

"I am your mother

respect me as you should

I divorced your father

for the best

of your own good!"

is all that escapes her mouth

she knows i'm defenseless

when she brings up the subject of you

everything gets dragged back to you then 

everything gets blamed on you

in case you didn't catch it its a poem about my mom fighting with me because i told her to be quiet and then she blames it on my dad for everything and thats actually what always happens

I like how some of your poems, you always refer to your dad as "you". Like it's a letter to him. It's actually what I do with my personal journal. I don't write diary entries like most, I write letters to my dad. I'm not sure why really. But this is a great poem. I'm sorry your mom blames your dad for everything. I guess that happens in most divorces. The parents blame each other and the kids are stuck in the middle their whole life. Stay strong.

Hunny, I know it is hard to be in this situation, but as I've said from earlier comments, you can't just blame your mom for everything, just like it isn't right for her to place all the blame on your dad. I understand the frustration, but It's not right. I hope things get better.
