Growing Horns

Growing Horns

A Poem by Shashwati Roy

I look up in mirror
I'm half devil, half angel in me,
One side horn, other side halo over me.
One wants to stay rebel,
other one wants to stay out of hell.

Home wants me to be angelic,
But the world outside cut off my wings.
It seems halo is broken, I m growing the horns,
because its better to stay rebel,
rather than thrown on the ground.

I kept the broken pieces of halo with me,
Deep down I have got some good in me.
Someone comes to heal me up,
with those pieces I strike three.
