Honouring 60 years around the Sun.... words and photos Sharonlee
I know her… She was the bare foot dreamer with flowers in her hair
the wide-eyed gypsy wanderer who took one day at a time
the budding poet who stored metaphors in her mind
goddess wife mother blooming the wilting widow who saw little light come her way the haunted soul who hid her tears at the birth of each new day
she was the seeker and the questioner who probed deep inner thoughts a philosopher who realized that all was not for nought
I know her but she’s aged some her eyes are quieter now and I think she feels much stronger then the younger woman of past destiny … and when I look into her eyes It’s a reflection of me that I see. * SharonLee

Your poetry, the way you turn twenty six letters into a vast flow of one woman's life. is extraordinary, absolutely extraordinary! You've stopped at ~ then left, stages of her life that have moulded her into the person she is, the glorious being looking from the mirror. Tis said that each of us is everywhere we have ever visited, every person we've every met, every lesson ever learned.. and so forth. Each of us a rolling stone.. gathering what our spirit dictates. This is a wonderful post, one to return to.. often. '

That top photo came to me recently, I don't recall ever seeing it before although I do remember that moment perfectly, even though it was 43 years ago.
Thank you for visiting my dear, always a true delight to "see" you xx

We all change and grow over time becoming less of something’s and more of others. I love the reflection looking in the mirror at the end of this poem

You are welcome. I know I have become less of somethings and more of other. Evolving continually
When you can look back and accept it for what it was, without dwelling there full-time, you're ahead of a lot of people.
