STILL...

STILL...

A Poem by sharonlee

Still...

... holding things together with daydreams and coffee
and finding new beauty in new dawns
Still smiling softly at butterflies passing and
dandelions bejewelled on the lawn...

Still seeing hope in strangers faces, as much as I still see the despair
... still searching for traces among chaos, and finding moments to share.

Still caught up in the poets dream, lifted by a thought or emotion
wondering if this was the anthem that will hold back global commotion
... wondering if... I still had the touch... to  weave magic in words
or am I  just another somebody, trying to make sense of the absurd;

Still... holding things together with coffee and daydreams
finding beauty in the everyday and hope where none is seen.

oh how i enjoy and receive your message, Sharon .. what a blessing to read .. great sense of rhythm and rhyme .. i think the mix of quatrains and couplets is beautiful .. i may have to steal that ;) the quiet, musings of a seasoned warrior says i ... so many roads gone over but never "Just another silly love song" (Paul McCartney) to stay caught up in the dream ..keep weaving ... i see the magic still there .. wonderful uplifting grounded wise poem
