Yesterday to TomorrowA Poem by SharonDisclaimer: The formatting is not original, it is based on the famous "Macbeth" by Shakespeare. Yesterday to Tomorrow By: Sharon He (Based on Shakespeare's Macbeth) Yesterday and yesterday and yesterday Crawls in this delayed diversion from seconds to hours To the final sacrifice of living life, And all our passing days have burning passions no more The way to exhausted ends. Out, lifeless flame! Life’s but a lost search, a never ending slow routine That pokes and plays his seconds upon your grave. And then is thought of no more. It is an endless lie Told by the watcher, full of questions and cries, Bring upon nothing. Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow Enters with accelerated ease from day to day To the last ticking hours of every day, And all our onlooking dawns have fiery filled passions The way to desperate desires. Hidden away! Life’s but a dark horror, tunnel of darkness and fear That waits and haunts, continue to make you break And then it is gone. a nightmare with no trace Told by none other than yourself, full of pride A fight won with the mind.© 2016 Sharon |
