The Yellow Chair It sat there by itself, so straight and proud the legs and back painted Cadmium Yellow it’s seat a soft umber brown of woven twine there are two hats resting there a neat crisp lovely tan straw with the black ribbon underneath a soft floppy crocheted cream with the little jewels sewn into it’s brim are they placed there or just casually tossed below on the floor, colored shoes pink ones slipped off casually red one’s set neatly side by side who left their hats and shoes where did they go? The two women met at the lake both with their camera's Pearl with her sophisticated camera Sassy with her small digital They bent over looking intently in the lake what were they hoping to discover One an accomplished photographer the other an artist, a watercolorist which of these women is which did they find what they wanted to capture at the lake or did they create their own picture by chance They accomplished both
