placid and cow like
we float unchallenged
no mirage to fool us
no boundaries to respect
serious about the right things
nonchalant about the wrong
we take time out to
take up all your time
and feel grateful for the opportunity
we're so optimistically insignificant
that no space is wasted yet
we feel invisible to the naked eye and
naked to the visible eyes upon us
obligated to honour the suffering
because they bleed for us
but when all is said and done
no absolution can be found
on this table constantly turning
