For a moment I-

For a moment I-

A Poem by Sharanya

I stared at the ceiling with tears in my eyes
With a million thoughts running 'n pacing around
For a moment when I closed them tight
It felt like a key to a world that's only mine now.

For a moment the mind stopped convincing
The heart, that it doesn't have to care for all.
For a moment they joined forces to make
The instance a transcendent ephemeral.

For a moment I felt light as a feather,
Calming to the bones like sitting by a lake.
For a moment I saw the living deceased,
I wonder have they come now to take me away.

For a moment I wished for the time to stop,
To cherish the flattering fallacy as if I am to rule.
For a moment I found myself in a sound cemetery,
Is this the sign of the end of something beautiful?

For a moment my eyes tasted heaven,
The blur was like the break of dawn.
For a moment I forgot it was all momentary,
And then in a blink it was all gone.
