Yesteryears~A Poem by Sharanya
A chilly winter night I parched, boxing up old fabric and stuff,
Dragged out a wooden case of letters and a bunch of our old photographs. And just as I saw them out alive, Something pulled me to claim those peaks revived. To the time the eyes intertwain, the voice sought familiarity, From the first letter and beyond, thereafter t'was seldom solidarity. But how evergreen we've even been, touch retreats to become timeworn, Yesteryears it was till the telephone rang and no more do I feel a forlorn. From distinct beings to penpals to best of friends in odd times, To take a leap of faith turns a chuckle to laughs, address a poetry in rhymes. © 2024 SharanyaAuthor's Note
