Distant Dreams

Distant Dreams

A Poem by Jonathan Lee
"

A poem of quiet serenity.

"
O dreamy sheep in slumber deep,
your breathing speaks of beauty sleep.
I listen long to wistful wind
of your sweet breath, my graceful friend.
A time worth keeping, present now,
 is being present here somehow.

Atlantis lies beneath the sea,
and rests so far from Tuscany.
But distant dreams and loving schemes
converge in time and space it seems.
For though such distance parts us two
to be with you my heart renews.

O gently sleep my dreamy sheep;
I'll count your beauty breaths so deep.
If I should lie before you wake,
I pray a dream with you I make...
